“Once more her expressive power carries the audience away.”

Sizzling tension between the couples, humour, infectious temperament, and aggression assume lives of their own while being taken to extremes. Two gamecocks are set against each other. Their fight, however, is performed only in the tensing of muscles, breathing, the way they vibrate. Henrietta Horn lays bare the core of an emotional movement, exposing it, naked and isolated, through dancing. Enthusiastic applause in the Neue Aula.

Witty, no-contact dialogues of movement unfold – the most beautiful among them the “Duel” between two machos, fought only with rapier-sharp looks, and a fast-paced tango for all.

... The finale unites all the shriekers, gamecocks and physical artists in a temperamental and chaotic carnival parade. Big Band flourishes and percussion rhythms heat up the mood. Thunderous applause!
